Adobe Devloper Center Update

Note from the editor

Developers have been using XML-based data in Adobe® Flash® projects for a long time. The new E4X support in Flash® Player 9 provides you with a more straightforward way to consume XML in your applications. To learn more, check out Andrew Muller's ECMAScript for XML example and build a video player that lets users self-select captions in various languages.

Many of you may have noticed that we have been featuring a lot of content for ActionScript™ 3.0. This week is no exception — Peter Elst has published an excellent introductory guide to object-oriented programming in ActionScript 3.0. Check it out, code some ActionScript, and we'll see you next time.
