1)FireworksGuru: John Dunning. 2)kuler and Fireworks CS3

FireworksGuru: John Dunning

Today is a great day as John Dunning updated his list of current Adobe Fireworks Extensions. I've always considered John to be an elite Fireworks user if not the godfather of Fireworks and its time to give him recognition as a FireworksGuru for all the insanely helpful extensions John has given to the Fireworks community. You can also find John over at fireworksguruforum.com helping people out with extending Fireworks.

Thanks John for all you do!

kuler and Fireworks CS3

Ben at pixelfumes ported over his kuler panel from Flash CS3 to Fireworks CS3 and would like some feedback in terms of how Fireworks users would use the panel. I was delighted to see him write a Flash developer center article on the kuler panel and expose the development efforts it took to create the panel as well as hand out the source so anyone else can de-construct or extend the panel. This is truly the best way to learn and I personally value designers and developers highly when they push out something they want to share with the community.

Download the Fireworks kuler panel and have fun!

Be sure to give Ben some feedback if you feel the panel should be working differently than it currently does inside Fireworks CS3.

Thanks Ben!

Télécharger des extensions pour Adobe Fireworks CS3

Vector Path rendering in Fireworks

A lot of Fireworks users are not aware of how Fireworks renders paths and assumes what they are running into is a bug. Here's an informative TechNote for you to explore and even download various extensions to aid you when running into a problem where the stroke becomes blurry, fuzzy and aliased to the point you are trying to get the path back to normal. This also typically happens when you zoom into the document to modify vectors.

The following extensions are useful when you work with vector paths and their points.

SuperNudge

Super Nudge is a Fireworks Panel that allows you to move a selected path or points along a path by any amount, including sub-pixel amounts and individual points. You can use Super Nudge to modify vector points to appear more or less anti-aliased. For more information, see http://www.phireworx.com/content/members/supernudge/default.asp.

Path Commands and Path Points Commands

The Path Commands and Path Points Commands extensions are collections of path- and path point-related commands. They contain commands for rounding entire paths (all points on a path) or individual points selected on a path to whole or half-pixel values. These commands easily allow you to make paths with a soft stroke look harder. For more information, visit the following websites:

Path Points Commands: http://www.senocular.com/fireworks/extensions.php?id=0.29

Transform Panel

The Transform Panel provides a substitute for the inputs provided by the Property Inspector and the Info Panel. It allows you to inspect and set the size and location of a selection such as an object or a collection of path points for greater control over their placement. For more information, visit http://www.senocular.com/fireworks/extensions.php?id=0.53.
